Choose the code family first
The initial search is Asia/Shanghai in the time-zone group. Switching to country, locale, AWS or Kubernetes silently loads a suitable example and clears the previous selection.

An IANA time zone list is useful when a scheduler needs Asia/Shanghai rather than a guessed UTC+08:00. The named zone points to civil-time rules; a fixed offset does not carry future clock changes.
The same page separates country codes, locale codes, AWS Region codes and Kubernetes resource kinds. Select the family first: CN, zh-CN and cn-north-1 have different meanings even though their letters overlap.
A code is useful only when its family and source are clear.
The IANA time zone list uses geographic IDs from tzdb 2026d. It gives Asia/Shanghai and its country code, while deliberately avoiding a permanent UTC offset that could mislead a future schedule.
A country code such as CN, locale tag zh-CN and AWS region cn-north-1 belong to different registries. The five data sets keep each code with its own fields, source and checked date.
The initial search is Asia/Shanghai in the time-zone group. Switching to country, locale, AWS or Kubernetes silently loads a suitable example and clears the previous selection.
A city fragment, country name, two-letter code, Region name or resource kind can narrow its own group. Edit the search text and the old result becomes stale until Search or Enter runs again.
The selected card shows the source baseline and a link to the original registry or documentation. For AWS account access and Kubernetes cluster discovery, follow the source rather than treating this snapshot as a live probe.
The IANA time zone list contains 312 zone1970.tab locations; the companion iso3166.tab snapshot contains 249 country alpha-2 codes. Search a zone by ID, city or associated country name.
Sixteen selected BCP 47 tags show language and region subtags. The plain en tag stays distinct from en-US; this list is a practical sample rather than every possible tag.
Find 38 AWS Region codes across standard, GovCloud and China partitions, plus 16 Kubernetes resource kinds with apiVersion, plural name and scope.
Start with the IANA time zone list's geographic IDs and open its zone1970.tab source. It omits backward-compatibility aliases, so use the full tzdb and your runtime when an older ID matters.
No. Asia/Shanghai names a rule set; UTC+08:00 is only a numeric offset. A location can change rules over time, so store the named zone for future civil-time scheduling.
CN identifies a territory in the alpha-2 list. zh-CN combines a language subtag with a region subtag; it describes a locale rather than a country by itself.
No. us-east-1 is a Region code; a zone designation is more specific and can be account-dependent. Check AWS account status and service availability separately.
The selected built-in kinds show an apiVersion from the linked API reference, such as apps/v1 for Deployment. Run kubectl api-resources against your own cluster for its actual resources and versions.
